What about than and then ?!?!

"Than" is used in comparing things, e.g. Granny apples are more sour than Harelson apples.

"Then" involves a time period, e.g. After they've taken off, then we'll go clubbing.

Here's a worksheet that gives us lots of practices on their uses. Answers are below the worksheet. Great examples of their differences.

Show us their uses in sentences so we know their differences.

Ashamed vs Shame

Conscious vs conscience

You should show us how you use them in sentences in order for us to tell if you have them right or not.

Manslaughter and Man's laughter
alamo and a lamo

Did I do it right?

Kind of like "How much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

I cannot fathom my phantom

I amour my armor

I would wood my shoot chute.

really.... :2funny:

Right, "really"??  ;D

one ends in -en and one ends in -an...Don't even sound alike... ;D

When we arrived to the U.S. in the 70s, the English words that I struggle to learn and understand most are homonym and homophone words... :-\
