-when you gift a purse or wallet to someone, you put any amount of money in it (whether it be as little as $0.25 or like $50). the belief is that it will bring good fortune/financial success to the recipient of the gift!
-Don't sleep with the fan on.
-Chopsticks Sticking Straight Up in Your Food.
-Stepping Over People.
-Turning Your Plate.
-Deceased Relatives With Butterflies and Dreams.
-Taking a Ring Off Someone's Finger.
-Letting Food Cool Before Refrigerating.
-Gifting Someone With Shoes.
-Dropping Cutlery.
-Asking for Permission From Spirits to Avoid Their Wrath.

I have heard of some of those before like chopsticks in vertical position is representation of incense sticks in rice during funeral.
Not related to Halloween but this Hmong superstition is a bummer. Have good food but zero pepper sauce at traditional Hmong wedding is not cool.

Here's a few more Asian superstitions:
-Never Whistle at Night
-Never place your bed in front of a mirror

-Never give handkerchiefs as gifts

-Always finish every grain of rice in your bowl
