I got a cold call from an insurance agent who was trying to induce me to replace my auto insurance policy. She spoke a clear American accent, which the linguist in me identified to be a Caucasian-American.  She asked if I had anyone else that I would put on my policy.

I told her "my girlfriend."

"What's your gender?" she asked.

Don't be surprised if the caller is an African-American. We can't say only Whites have blonde moments. Some of our Asians have them, too.
