i get these fish like every 5-6 fish caught
i will reel in one
they get soooo huge and big here
because the meeka people here don't eat them
meeka folks consider them trash fish
i heard MEV/MEXICAN people love them
but not alot of them up here in wisconsin

They're caught from the same lakes and rivers everyone catches walleyes, cats, etc. from. They eat the same kinds of foods those other fish eat. They even drink the same kind of water, if you haven't noticed that. If they are trashes, then so are those. You guys are eating more of other fish that the Mev have eaten sheepsheads.
I caught a huge one 20 years ago. At first, it felt like my line was stuck on some underground rock. I gave up reeling and was about to cut the line off. Then it moved again. I now realized it was a huge fish on the line. So, I carefully reeled that in not to break the 8-pound line. When the fish was finally at the edge, I had to use both hands to lift it up to shore like lifting a toddler from the ground.
I removed the hook and took a good look at it before letting it back into the water.

the one here get soo freakin huge
cause meeka folks catch and release them only
you can get a good meal or two out of it

can't go wrong with deep fried
they taste pretty good too
almost like white bass and pompano mix taste

In French Guiana, they even had fish that had human teeth. I caught one and had it cooked for dinner.

I eat them once in a while
I read when fisherman fish for shrimp
They catch and kill soo many trash fish in the process

not sure where i read it
but something like it takes 20 lbs of "trash fish" to created 1 lb of shrimp
they just catch and net soo many trash fish in the process
