Fort Worth city council, mayor currently make less than $30,000.
A ballot proposal seeks to change that
The raises, if approved on the May 7 election, would go into effect on Oct. 1, when the city's new fiscal year begins.

I say it's garbage because that's a big city to managed. Even the Mayor of Lodi makes way more and Lodi is a much smaller town in California at around 65k population. No wonder this Asian guy was smiling when he was the Mayor of Lodi and still smiling now as a Council Member... ;D:

$104,790
The mayor is a full-time position, however, and receives an annual salary of $104,790. The mayor also receives medical, dental and vision benefits. Council members do not receive benefits.
