I was invited to attend a friend's daughter's wedding and they did a good job of saving money from renting a reception hall/ball room. Sure it's a little tight mainly not enough restrooms but not bad overall... O0 Best of all, they didn't run on "Hmong time"..  8) O0..

Edison High student who drowned was ‘what you would want your kid to be like’

Neng Thao was remembered Sunday as a student and scholar who was “exactly what you would want your kid to be like.”

Thao, a senior at Edison High School, was at the San Joaquin River in northwest Fresno with his family, celebrating an older brother’s graduation from Fresno State, when he went under the water about 4 p.m. Rescue crews recovered his body about two hours later.

Thao, 18, would have graduated in two weeks as a valedictorian with a 4.21 GPA, Edison High Principal Lindsay Sanders said Sunday.

Texas man sues his date — for texting during 'Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2'

You know those little pre-movie segments where they ask you to turn off or silence your cellphone and not to talk or text?

Well this guy REALLY takes them seriously.

A Texas man is suing his date for texting while they were watching a 3D showing of Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 at an Austin theater.

According to local media, Brandon Vezmar, 37, is asking for $17.31, which was the price of his ticket.

“This is, like, one of my biggest pet peeves,” he told Austin’s American-Statesman.

“It was kind of a first date from hell,” he told the paper, saying that about 15 minutes after the movie began, his date – who he met on dating app Bumble – started texting.

In his lawsuit, which was filed at a Travis County small claims court, Vezmar said the woman “activated her phone at least 10-20 times in 15 minutes to read and send text messages.”

...an animated film. I'm not as big of a fan as my wife when it comes to animated films but I spent some quality times with my niece and nephew over the weekend so we watched it.

For an animated film, I give it 4 stars out of 5 mainly because it made some good references and connections with the Batman of my generation or the first Batman I've ever seen when we arrived to America  O0:

...tune-up his Ferrari per pop...One of the main reasons why so many are "low mileage"...:

Don't Buy a 'Cheap' Used Supercar If You Can't Afford the Insane Maintenance Costs

Just a reminder, used exotics still cost an arm and a leg to maintain

Here at R&T, we love the magic of depreciation. It lets us buy cars we never could have afforded when they were new, and it makes for some incredibly entertaining window shopping. Heck, just last month, we published a list of 10 400-horsepower cars that we managed to find for less than $10,000.

Were they clean, well-maintained examples with a lengthy service history? Of course not. But when you see a Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG for only $9500, it can be tempting to take a chance on it. After all, everyone deserves to own an AMG at least once in their lives.

But the dark side of depreciation is always going to be maintenance. A BMW 850i is a beautiful thing, but that V12 luxury coupe is going to force you to dip into your savings every few months, even if you do most of the work yourself.

With supercars, it's even worse. Yes, you can buy a used Aston Martin for the cost of a new Mercedes C-Class. And yes, someone in the market for a new BMW 5 Series could buy a used Lamborghini instead, but getting these cars serviced costs a truly insane amount of money.

Just let the guys from JR Garage explain how much their Ferrari 355 cost over only 1000 miles:

Yep.$38,000. Even if you baby your used exotic and barely drive it, you'll still have to sell a kidney to keep it running. And half your liver. The Ferrari 355 isn't unique, either. A few years ago, we spoke to a few automakers about the yearly cost of owning their supercars, and the figures they quoted were mind blowing.

If you ever bought a McLaren F1, for example, you'd be on the hook for $30,000 in maintenance costs. Per. Year. But at least the car is appreciating in value fast enough to still be worth it. Plus, it's virtually impossible to total one.

And don't forget about the Bugatti Veyron. No one's buying one of those thinking it'll be affordable, but one owner broke down how much it costs to maintain one. Even for a seven-figure car, the prices he quoted were still out of this world.

Don't let us stop you from window shopping for heavily depreciated luxury and supercars. That's always going to be fun. Just be careful if you ever decide to take the plunge and buy one. We don't want anyone going bankrupt because they spent their retirement on a used Ferrari.

..lose out to the Stang. I definitely see more women driving Mustang than Camaro over the years too especially convertibles.. .:

Ford's iconic muscle car Mustang has bagged the Women's Performance Car of the Year 2016, adding yet another feather to its cap.

Up against as many as 294 competitors, Mustang emerged as the top performance car in the Women's World Car of the Year award, pipping its closest contender, the acclaimed Ford Focus RS, by just one point.

"Ford Mustang is surprisingly loved by women who are after a sexy, sporty, masculine car that turns heads," said Juliet Potter, Women's World Car of the Year jury member from Australia. "Combining the car's silver-screen celebrity status with real-life practicality, Mustang screams, 'I am in control!' and delivers the same behind the wheel with above-average grip and suspension."

Ford also sells Mustang in India. The car made its India entry in July with a price tag of Rs 65 lakh and is said to have received a good response in the market. The two-door four-seater sports car is available in India in only one variant – the GT Fastback – and it is the first version that comes with factory designed right-hand-drive, which is the export model brought to India as CBU (Completely Built Unit).

At the heart, Mustang gets the legendary V8 engine that is tuned to churn out 524Nm of torque, propelling the car to 240kmph. It features fully independent rear suspension system and the transmission is handled by a six-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox. Mustang is equipped with paddle shifters, powering the rear axle. The car will offer four driving modes — Normal, Sport+, Track and Snow or Wet.

Personally the I prefer the looks of the Camaro more over the years...
