...you definitely won't be happy with what's out there. lol

At least that is the impression I get from the stories and the older divorcees/widowers.

Older single men are not serious about commitment at all, especially those who are divorced for a long time or have been in a string of bad situationships . Their idea of commitment is for you to shut up and put up. You do the cooking, the cleaning, the nursing, the picking up after, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Be completely agreeable or else they walk. Their commitment to you is not about love but for transactional purposes only. If they got minors then they need you to perform mother duties. Otherwise, they're looking for someone to manage and perform domestic chores so that it frees up time for them to focus on their personal interests and hobbies. Their priorities will always be work and hobbies, never you. If you don't like it, well don't expect them to fight for the relationship. They'll just find another woman who is more agreeable.

Honestly, it sounds like older men don't have any reason to get married other than to have a woman take care of him if he has some health issues. And if they don't mind taking care of themselves then they don't need a woman. It's not like they're trying to have a family or pursue a career, and will need a wife to share the workload.
