There’s no need to kill anyone just because they are no longer happy with you. Just let them go.

In 2009, a case of domestic violence involving Yang and Vang was dismissed after both of them failed to appear in court.

Yang also has a criminal history.

In 2017, he was charged with a felony for fleeing a peace officer and driving recklessly.

Yang was sentenced to 2 years in prison but was let out early on good behavior.

Vang's relatives say she would talk about divorce.

Experts with the Marjoree Mason Center say that could have been a trigger.

"Anytime you will threaten to leave or challenge staying in a relationship will be a trigger point for additional control or a flare-up or what we call an explosion," said the center's executive director, Nicole Linder.

Marjoree Mason Center's incoming board president, Bonnie Her, said Hmong traditions could have made it hard for Vang to leave.

She said women who divorce are ostracized by their clan.

"Being a woman you are married into a family so when you get divorced you are alone," she said.

He tried time and again to win back the affections of his estranged wife. And when he couldn’t, he stabbed her 63 times and was sentenced to life in prison.

Now, Moua Her’s efforts to win himself a new trial have failed, too.

The Minnesota Supreme Court on Thursday affirmed Moua Her’s June 2006 conviction for stabbing Sheng Vang to death in the garage of his St. Paul house. Moua Her, 26, will continue to spend his days at the Oak Park Heights prison.

The couple met in high school and married in a traditional Hmong ceremony in 2000, Associate Justice Lorie Skjerven Gildea wrote for the court. But a year later, Sheng Vang moved out, citing marital difficulties.

Family members, including Moua Her, convened a meeting to address the problems in the marriage — one of which was Moua Her’s alleged physical abuse of his wife. Some of the things Sheng Vang told her family that day became part of the trial — and part of the appeal.

What amaze me is the brazen to walk in the open after such killing and NOT be arrested.  You have a messed up gov't create messed up population.  The killer knows he's not going to be arrested or if he did, he won't get severe punishment so what's going to stop the next one from doing the same thing.  The gov't of this country tolerate this behavior because they're mostly likely run by men who agree w/ honor killing.  Sad world to be born a girl/woman.
