..lottery buying frenzy for those that don't live on the California side of course  ;D. Even though it's a gambling capitol of the world, the casinos don't want any competition from the lottery so no state lottery in Nevada.

Good luck to all that play  O0:

KERN COUNTY, Calif. —
Wednesday night became the win of a lifetime in Southern California as the Powerball jackpot of $1.73 billion was sold in Kern County.

The winning numbers were 22-24-40-52-64 with a Powerball number of 10. That jackpot ticket was sold at the Midway Market & Liquor on 6032 Frazier Mountain Park Road in Kern County.

The estimated cash value for the jackpot is $774.1 million.

It was a big win in general for California.

Two other big wins happened in the state as two tickets matched five of the numbers. Each of those tickets is worth $760,111 each.

Those tickets were sold at the MLS Mini Mart in Santa Clara and the Atlantic Wine & Spirit in Monterey Park.

The winner of the $1.76bn Powerball jackpot may only get $575 million after taxes if they take the lump-sum option

If the winner chooses the lump sum payment, the amount will drop to $575 million after a mandatory federal tax withholding of 24, according to Forbes. This number could drop even more depending on the winner's taxable income as they may face a federal marginal rate of up to 37%.
