according to a Dem politician... Senator Chris Cons (oops Coons) from Delaware claimed Sesame Street in Iraq is great and should be funded. CNN host Michael Smerconish agree with Chris... Interesting that both of these fools have 'CON' in their name...
Smerconish claimed 70% of his viewers agree with the Sesame Program in Iraq.
"Well, Michael, the way you put it is the way I hope, folks, considering your poll today will think about it. This isn‘t just funding a kids show for children. Millions of children in countries like Iraq. It‘s a show that helps teach values, helps teach public health, helps prevent kids from dying from dysentery and disease, and helps push values like collaboration, peacefulness, cooperation. In a society where the alternative is ISIS, extremism and terrorism. And to your point, it‘s pennies on the dollar." Coons went on to say that this is about 'soft power'... or 'smart power'... meaning the influence of another country without resorting to military power.
USAID gave $20M to a nonprofit called Sesame Workshop to produce a show called "Ahlan Simsim Iraq" in an effort to "promote inclusion, mutual respect, and understanding across ethnic, religious, and sectarian groups. I'm pretty sure the parents will have a lot to say about the programming... I didn't know it takes $20M to put up a Sesame show.
This is why the Left/Dem are so adamant about stopping DOGE... The cookie jar is about to get cracked.
