Do you fish for walleyes? Ever do it on Tonka? Let's hit your boat for walleye day... we can use mine on medicine.

Never fished for Walleyes but I'm up for anything!

Fish for pike instead...LOL

In all honesty...I have no idea...I think I got a good strategy for it but then I go out and try to capitolize on it and poof they are gone.

If you know where they spawned I would look for the first deep area around the spawning area. If there's a flat or hump close by i would also check the edges of that.

Aslo I would still check shallow for some late females. This past weekend on Tonka I saw some females on beds still. Could I get em to bite? Nope...LOL

I think post-spawn fishing is junk fishing... throw everything you got in ur tackle box at every depth you find. Just typical summer pattern. You'll find them shallow and deep. At least that's how it is for me.

So basically, post-spawn bass fishing stinks.  ;D

Post spawn should be ending or over on most lakes. Time to look for the summer pattern.. deep or shallow

This may sound like a newbie question but how do you guys usually work a jig-n-pig?

What I've been doing is dropping it in weed holes, next to docks, brushes, any kind of structure that looks like it may hold bass and giving it a few twitches after letting it sit for a good 10secs or so, then repeat a few times. If nothing then reel it back in and repeat.

 ???

the way i use jigs is cast it let her drop, jig...jig...ji g...jig...jig. ..jig...and jig...until you are bit!  other wise pitching it is great too...pitch, let it drop, twitch twitch, and do it over again until you feel a bump or feel the the lure feels a little funny.
