The fever in me
Caused by my longing for you
The road to recovery
It's a tunnel with no light shinning through

That throbbing in my heart
Is as painful as ever
Ever since we departed
I'm still hooked on your lure

My saddest moment
Is in Autumn
My heart falls and burn
With all the leaves to an urn

Can't bear it any longer
This hot and cold
Like Summer and Winter
My broken heart will not get old

Defeating my enemy

As passionate as Aphrodite
Worst than the devil
Ua feeb ua teev ua hnub ua hmo ua hli ua xyoo ua tiam mus ib txhis
Tej lub sijhawm kuv tos tej lub sijhawm kuv caum

Now I have to chase
Cause I need to fulfill a dream
Xav kom rov tau nrog tus qubhlub nyob ib tse
Txoj sia tu tus plig thiaj yuav dim

Faster than the wind
Invisible like the air
Yog kuv yuav txhom kom tau los khi
Yuav tau tsim lub cav sijhawm ua ntej

When I can travel through time
Go to any place
Rov mus yuav tus neeg kuv hlub ua ntej ntuj muab wb sib cai
Kom tau nyob ua ke sibhlub mus ntev ntev

The battle would have been won
The enemy defeated
Kuv mam muab nws tua
Kom kuv txoj kevhlub tsis paub kawg mus ib sim

Our memories
Which will cease to exist soon
Our dreams
Blown away like balloons

Our last breaths
No more will I hear your voice
Every thing is at stake
Cause there's no other choice

Will I get to hold you in my arm
Sniff the scent of Autumn love
Get my heart warmed
From being away from you so long it has turned to a rock

I have only one wish left
That is to be held by my angel
Though, our fate didn't bring us together as sworn when we met
My love to you will remain eternal

My heart yearn and desire
With the very same passion
All these hidden emotions gets me higher
Makes my mind and body wants to explode with all actions

Yesteryears, seem so distant but not far
The truth hold near and dear
I sometimes fantasize still kissing you under those stars
Instead here I am thinking about you another year

I used to speak perfect Laos more than 20+ years ago.  Now, I use mostly English to communicate with my Laos friends cause that's what everyone prefers, too.

I can tell that you love Laos very much by reading your poems.  However, the Laos now is not the same as the one we knew.  All its natural resources have been destroyed.  The govn't should taken a different path other than selling Laos natural beauty. the very core of its value.

I suggest that they make it the world's #1 tourist destination by preserving all natural resources.  Make walking, horse riding trails and bike paths for hunters sightseers.  The tourist industry alone can provide more than enough jobs and income for comfortable living for all Laos.

Sorry, this is off topic but I just want to get it off of my chest.  It hurts to see Laos become a barren country with the poorest people on earth.

Wow, that is great. A perfect Lao, even I can't. I left home when I was 7.

I speak Lao only when am with my Lao friends, family, and relatives. It is a must for me. I speak to my princess as well, she's learning very slowly.

I do, with every fiber in my body. And every waking hours I think of home. I know it has changed a lot but to me it will always be a part of me and always be home. If I was single, I would not be here another day. I would have taken mom back home.

I agree, find other ways not selling off Laos. Luang Prabang is a huge tourist attractions from what I've heard and read. It generated over $102 million annualy.
