my stepson graduated last week, but hardly anyone dressed up too much...it was in the evening and that day turn dark and cold, freezing shivering cold with massive wind.  There were women with short dresses and/or billowy ones, and each one of them was blue in the face from the cold...but they looked good!

Not even talking about graduation but just award night.  My daughter school held it right after Open House and to see those that know they are getting an award dress up like they are going to the prom with fancy dress, hair all done, etc.  My daughter didn't even want to go at all.

i was shocked myself too at the register... i bought 2 dresses for daughter including the one in the picture above and... the total for both came to 28$

A dress I picked up from Macy's for $20!!!  I can wear it alone, or layer a sheer blouse or sweather over it to make a new outfit!

Folks, I have been thinking about my inspiration for this challenge and I believe I have found it... lolz.  And thinking about it, I realize it's going to be multiple looks.  So, I am thinking that your inspiration may lead you to creating multiple looks as well... let's post as many as possible...
 
I will list the different possibility categories on the first post.

I don't think I can do this, I don't find very many things to be of inspiration to be dressed after.

You can choose a nice flora piece or perhaps some of your favorite flora pieces... I love lace... so my inspiration is going to be lace... or it could even be your favorite color... I love kelly green and soft baby pink... so I have a ton of clothes and jackets as well as jewelry in those colors... in casual to very formal dresses...
 
But I have bought a lot of lace recently and so that is what I am going to do it on... I might do one on my favorite color of green as well.
 
If you love stripes, you could also do it with that as well.  I was going to do one on one of hat as the inspiration... but I was not very inspired by it... lolz.  Or even a fourth of july flag inspired look... creating red, white, and blue... I did that last year.  All my outfits for that trip was variation colors of those colors.
