Why not open office?  it's free.

The only place I know that you can get those software for 20-40 bucks a pop is know someone who works for ms.  I bought windows 2003 standard edition when it came out for 20 through a buddy of mine who works for ms.

If you're talking about legal Microsoft software, you're talking retail.  The only other way is to get it OEM (white box), and that's usually through a computer store or computer show.  Even then, some of that software states on the package that it should be distributed with a new computer only.  That's for Office 2007.

As far as SBS, you're stuck with retail.
