My life isn't about me.  It's about the things around me, the people that depend on me.  The grass that waits for me to water it.  The milk carton that is empty and needs me to toss it away. 

I need to buy more milk.  But who's going to take care of the empty carton when I'm gone?

Kids are amazing.  They're resilient and wonderful.  They can also be naughty and throw tantrums when they don't get what they want.

A good method to diffuse a tantrum is to throw one yourself right back at them.  Then they'll see how silly it looks like when a grown adult is mad for no particular reason.  Or they'll just think you're crazy.  Or funny.

The kid in me loves the kid of me.

I was a teacher for a day.  It was a class of high school at-risk students.  Basically deviants and almost drop outs, but given a second chance.  So I gave them all a pop quiz and the girls intentionally tried to fail.

It's like they all wanted the D.
