I was having a conversation with a Hmong lady in her 30s today about the HNY.  She didn't say much and that was fine.

It's not just her but I feel like every Hmong person I try to talk to just don't have much to say and don't smile too much.  Maybe I am sounding like an OG when I talk to people.    They probably think this girl is weird.  Or maybe I'm just too open when it comes to a Hmong person...becau se I feel that bit of kinship just seeing one.

Today, I realised my own selfishness. I forgot that I am playing with people's lives and with that comes great repercussion. I came in with an agenda and forgot the voice of the father. I prejudged him based on historical information and did not value his merit and his potential.
