So I came across this book while researching about the Ebola hemorrhagic virus. Richard Preston unfolds an event of an epidemic that started in Central West Africa. It spread so fast and quickly that it wipred out 50-88% of the people who had come in contact. Even burial preparation was causing the living to become sick. It's such a nasty viral, it cause hemorrhaging, internal bleeding of your organs. What might start as a headache becomes a flu, sometimes vomiting, diarhrria of blood.
I wished this book had won an award.

I kinda understand why this book didnt win the bestsellers shelf. Not too many common people would understand what a virus is or does. If you had a keen interest for medical or viral research this book is a must read.
The Ebola virus is probably one of the deadliest emerging new diseases. More dangerous than anthrax and AIDS. There is no known cure or vaccination.
