yesterday reminded me of last year's blizzard south of us... drove my brother down to redwoods fall for stupid court, which i thought could of been taken care of over the phone but they demand him to show up in court for a ticket that's like 6-7 years old... driving there really put my driving skills on a test and let me just say u can't see shit but white probably 2-3 feet ahead of you and if you're really lucky you might see 10 feet ahead of you for a few seconds. yes we got stuck due to stupid detour signs, for about 2 hours and i wasn't sit there and wait for a tow truck... dig and dig for another 2 hours and finally got out, good thing we drove the suv(sucks being outside the wind was just killing cold and snow was up to my knees) good thing were only stuck on the road, if it had been the ditch a few meters to the side we would of stayed there for the night.. turn back from the detour, by now its 4ish. didn't know the town was like 5 mins from where we took the detour(i was piss a duck of course) could of avoided all that if i had just gone straight. got pretty lucky, the court was closing but the judge was still there and he just did the case took like 5 mins and we were out of there...WTF!!!! yes why couldn't they just do this over the phone...
they suggest that we get a hotel and stay the night. i was thinking duck that i drove here, got stuck, got out, late for court, almost did get to spend the night here for court, what's the worst can happen? got home about 8...
the whole thing was just a experience that one should have, if they live in area where they're gonna have snow.
things u should do in this situation,"car stuck in the blizzard" don't panic, if ur car isn't bad stuck or like in a ditch try digging ur car, if it's badly stuck don't bother going outside, call 911 and let them know your situation, where u are etc etc... if u didn't prepare for the winter like u should with some blanket in the trunk, make sure you make your "GAS" last cause that's the only thing that's gonna keep you warm(save that for the night when you're sleeping), while your still up and no one can come save you, do something to keep you warm, repeat, repeat, until you're save..
