suggestions for a new monitor...
« on: January 04, 2011, 09:31:18 AM »
Hey everyone,

I am looking for suggestions for a new monitor.  I have two 22's right now that I have had for about 4 few years.  I am just looking to get something new and works for my work preference. I have tried to recalibrate my monitors and they are just not doing it anymore. Colors are all off and I have a few dead pixels on both of the monitors.  They are the same monitors but with the same settings on both, colors are still off as I run the same image on both monitors.

I don't game at all, I do watch movies on my pc.  I do a lot of photoshop and adobe lightroom work.  I want to get into video editing soon also if time allows.  I do web dev and design and just beginning to program.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good monitor.  with my desk space I can probably max out at 25".  I can go dual or a big single(but would prefer dual(.  something between 22-25".

Budget of $400-500 for dual or a big single display.

Let me know if anyone has anything good or what is out there now a days. I have not shopped for monitors for a while now.

Thanks!

Teng

What about a LCD TV as your monitor? IT guys, any cons in this?
