Somebody left it at my workplace so I took it to read.
Hmm....post it anytime!! You started yet?
Wow...a free book with a great story! Nice.
Should we try to help them resolve the case or should we just repeat what they have put down on paper? Or should we do both? If both, we must put in some of our hunches about what we think might be the ultimate outcome.
Yes, I have started it. Just finished the chapter yesterday evening. Very interesting, I'll say.
The crime scene in chapter one is gruesome. Two old ladies were murdered with no trace of anything. One could suspect Marjorie, the adopted daughter. But there isn't much on here, either. She wants money from Elizabeth. She usually does. And people know about that. She has called for Elizabeth the few days before Elizabeth got killed. She knew Elizabeth was coming home that Sunday afternoon. But is that enough to say Marjorie was the killer? The chapter hasn't pointed fingers at anyone yet.
I feel sorry for the old Elizabeth Congdon. She's all disabled and helpless. She gets around with her nurses and the drivers. But she can't do much anymore. All this wealth at Glensheen mansion and the estate surrounding that over Lake Superior ! She had t let go. Are there other descendants or siblings? We don't know of any in this chapter, do we? The authors say her parents bought the mansion. But they are probably gone, too, since Elizabeth is already over 80 years old.
Tell me what you saw being described or told to us in Chapter 1. Tell me anything else you see in this chapter. Or say anything else you want to say about this chapter. How do you like the nurse's discovery of the other nurse's legs dangling from the stairways? Gruesome!!!
