Write a poem base off of a title given from the person above you from the last sentence in their poem.
Houses Do Not Belong
I’ve lived in twelve houses:
one was haunted
the others had rats the size of my arm,
Fruits that bore no seeds,
But the one that stuck like conifer sap
was dust blue.
Yet, none were home.
I learned years later why houses do not belong:
I was born from Mountains,
with wind air and dirt kinship,
from soles crossing borders,
and the spirits of the ‘once was’
before the ‘now.’
Toj siab was home.
At least, that’s what my blood whispers
(So the next person can write a poem with a title from the last sentence above. It can be any word from the last sentence above, or a mixture of the words from the last sentence. I.E. "Blood," or "Blood Whispers," or "At Least" or any other combination.
