hmwrk help!! --deals with network management

Given the context (as describe below), develop a network management strategy by:
 
1. Identifying the types of information needed to implement SNMP

2. Choosing a tool that best supports both the network flow AND the operational
control of the various devices (including servers and desktops) connected to the
network

3. Explain how the tool might be implemented – using a centralized or
decentralized approach, the phases of implementation, expected output and
reports that support the main functions of network management.
 

This is all the information i've got.
i don't know where to even begin and any help would greatly be appreciated. thx.

Are you studying via ONLINE University? Sucks...you will forget 99.1% of what you learn.  The thing is, you won't use it since you learn on book and do not trust at all.

I'd recommend you go look at HP's network management tools. 

I think, in the past the competitor would be CA's unicenter, but not sure if they're still around.
