Once I saw a Christian rally on TV against a Muslim community in Michigan and it became apparent that all the Muslims had to do to win was to walk away and the lone speaker will be without an audience, and the whole thing will be neutralized. Instead, they stayed and got themselves all worked up and before you know it, many of them were arrested, while the real monster makes out like a hero. I told my daughter that if we ever came across such a scene, we will laugh at it and walk away. I met another monster, but I couldn’t walk away. I stayed and I listened, because I was hoping that it would hear me and when it did, it would change. As a result, the monster came out looking like a hero, and I the villain, because I stayed long enough to get emotionally all riled up to take inappropriate actions. These are the both the same, but desire blinded me in the second. I will walk away from both, next time. That is the best course of action.
