i remember 5 years ago, went to church to boost my ego
saw this pretty angel, thought she was a well adjusted individual
she recently became single, thought i'd take a leap of faith and see if she was interested
sure took her for a couple dates but i didn't know i was already limited
you see, she had her a new man in California
that set her future so secure that she wouldn't bother considering ya
they dated for 2 weeks and then her heart broke and she cried and weeped,
masking her problems with drinks every week,
i offered to show her a new kind of love
i'd fit her perfectly all tight and snugged
unfortunately she was still in love with her 2-week love
i even told her to move away and i supported her decision
then she told me "yeah, i need to give my self more attention"
supported her the last few weeks to get through life with her face forward
hoping some where deep down she wouldn't see me as a coward
but what do you know? still obsessed with her ex she couldn't move on to the next
pressured with her own happiness and her parents dogma
she couldn't see that she is her own drama
she surely is the norm in todays teenage dilemma
with the pressure that america tells everyone to pursuit their happiness
but not realizing it takes patience and quick resilience to reach a state of contentness
ducking tired of kids complaining, i hope something in their life keeps dying and so they could come around and say
"i love everything.."

but it's sall good, cause in america our number one problem is not being able to see jeremey lin
or if we have enough money to get drunk this weekend, not worrying about a DUI if we end up drivin
half of the young generation havin no idea who the hell are the GOP republicans
but wait a minute who cares right? is that new skrillex song tight? of course it is cause it's whats the hype
gas prices hitting an all time hike, still considering on energy consumption, wouldn't even think about a bike
it's okay though cause that's why america was made, to blind us from nature and invent a delusion
to care more about beauty then contribution, to trump logic over passion, to love one another with only self-destruction
never genuinely doing something out of kindness, doctors now day want to see big checks only, that's why they promote plastic surgery,
never considering giving free medical aid attention to a real lifes detention
america, the place of addiction, burgers, drugs, sex, clothes, beauty, sleep, selfishness and alcoholism
where kids rather sleep under city lights then the constellations ...
duck finishing first, i rather finish last, cause i can take my time and enjoy my path
in all honestly, our flag should always be flying at half mast..

Sure, its a good thing.. I have nothing against rap and will listen to it sometimes. I just said that b/c I noticed ur lines kind of rhyme or have the same sort of end sound. lol

haha .. i was listening to some rap when i was writing it.. i think it's honestly the only way i can write and free my mind, it comes naturally, it's not like im trying to rhyme but it just comes out like it
