Just wondering if anyone read this book yet? :D :D  I was watching Good Morning America and they gave good "reviews."

I wasn't impressed by the first few chapters.  I don't know if I want to finish reading the book.

Soft porn in writing. Isn't that what Harlequin Romance novels are for or is this slightly raunchier?

Heard good reviews as well. Heard it's the hot topic in Hollywood right now. I'm waiting to pick up my copy as well.

Uninspired, florid prose legitimized as "good" via public endorsement on morning talk shows that cater to a dominantly white, middle class group of women... ugh. When people say it's Twilight for adults, they are not kidding. The quality of writing is a bit below Meyer's... which isn't that high anyway.

If anyone wants real and well written bdsm, they should read the Beauty trilogy by Anne Rice (written under a pen name Roquelere or something like that).

Perhaps I needed a break from reality but I spent a whole day of my vacation devouring all three books... I need me a Christian Grey! :)

Sweet... Can u do that more often? U might be my new PH best friend now. ;D  Thanks much for that file! I was just thinking that I was gonna have to go out to buy it but I really didn't want to buy it either as that's not really my type of reading. Just wanted to read it to see what all the hype was about though.

I skimmed over the first few chapters of this book, and it kind of made me feel uneasy. :-\  I normally don't read stuff like this, so I guess I'm not used to it. ;D  Am still gonna read it though.

On the other hand, my hubby read the first four or so chapters, and I think he's secretly interested. :2funny:

Ok, so not long ago our local news mentioned this book is banned at some libraries while others that carried have a looonnnng waiting list of people wanting to read.

Kimchi:  Thanks..let me check it out and share my thoughts later..

Updates:

Ok, so I was disappointed because I was expecting something great since there's so much fuzz/buzz about it.  I read a few chapters and I gave up... Yes, there's alot of STEAM in this book but I need more than STEAM to get me going hehhe....
