SRT Subtitle Files to AVI?

what is the fastest program that you could add srt files to avi

I think you'll have to use an encoding method to encode the actual subs to the video. I've always had good luck with virtualdub and several of its subtitle plugins. Works great, you just have to kind of que p as many as you want and let it do its thing.

A quick google search of virtualdub subtitles would net many results. Good luck!

I use vlc mostly when I don't have leisure to convert and burn quality vids. vlc plays about everything but the program can bug your system time to time leaving 'footprints' or 'paths' undefined which may crack your drivers or firmware, mainly sound drivers. other than that, if you are up for open source and have the time to convert then try other progs

are you talking about being able to use the srt files to turn on subtitle or are you talking about hardcoding the srt file to the avi file.
