Who is ready for 4k TV?
« on: December 01, 2012, 03:16:03 PM »
Looks like Sony is pushing for 4K resolution (4 times the resolution of 1080p).  Playstation 4 will support 4k resolution.  Sony has released 4k projectors and TV.  Sounds like blueray and HDTV is becoming outdated.

Might be 5 more years before we can afford 4k OLED.

I'm done with TV.  I'm happy with my Panny plasma 50" TV.  My next huge investment is a very expensive projector, expensive projector screen, and a custom built room that looks like a movie theater.

there is rarely 4k content yet available.  PS4 will be able to play video in 4k, but not games.  Many analysts are saying that there is no need for 4k with a tv under 60 inches because the eye cant see beyond the 1080i resolution anyway.

It's funny how there will be 4k HDTV but most theaters only project movies at 2K.

hahah....most people cannot even tell the difference between up-converted HD vs real HD.  And what's the point of HD when everything is blurred into teal and orange colors.
