if your TV is not smart, you can buy a smart blue ray player.  Or you can get a box that lets you use netflix, pandora, youtube, and so forth.  The box is usually $50.  Smart blue ray player can be up to $100.

I bought a Roku 2 xd box but theres no youtube they dont' have youtube channel so I returned it.  Instead of having to go buy a Smart Blue Ray, Im just going to connect my laptop with a HDIM cord to my T.V and watch it that for now.
 :)

Yes.  That's better.

Hate entering search terms through the controller.  Keyboard is best.

That's the best way to go. Even with game consoles, internet tv or boxes won't have the same internet surfing capabilities as a computer.

You can get a Nyrius here:

http://www.amazon.com/Nyrius-NAVS500-Wireless-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B005H3AU1Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383801721&sr=8-1&keywords=hdmi+wireless+transmitter

I have used one for about over 2 years, works pretty flawlessly.  HDMI transmits from one to another.

Ideally, you would want to always use a wired connection when possible.  Preferably either Cat5e or Cat6 cables.  Those can easily carry HD Video/Audio.

It should be easy to connect wireless to your smart tv. We did it with no problems at all.
