Angus: I took the meaning of struggling to connect with your child qualities like innocence, playfulness and drive to matter. Trying to find it but it keeps escaping your grasp as you stay in the same routine life. Like the part where he climbs to the top but Maddies character lies still almost dead, I feel represents reaching things you think you need like that promotion at work etc but your still in a cage and not really free. Then at the end the inner child is basically begging to be free but Shias character has given up and accepts his life in the cage.

Kathryn: I think that we are all 'caged' in one way or another and our inner child, the fun carefree free thinking, unlimited by adult crap standards wants to play, be free and unbound, open naked raw and unassuming. Unfortunately the restraints of 'adulthood' make it hard and Shai shows this struggle so well. His angst in his facual expression, so sad so wanting, but so tired of trying. Very moving.
