If happy little blue birds fly, oh why can't I?

Day 1 - Swayed by you!

Do I dare to dream?

Do dreams really come ture? Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me, where troubles melt like lemon drops way above the chimmy tops...

that's where you'll find me... somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the cliffs is where we sat still, just holding eachother not saying one word, listening to the waves crash below us. If I can freeze that one moment, I would.

My reflection for the day. Woke up feeling blue, came to work was greeted with hugs by my co-workers whom I love to death now. I don't know how but we've built this bond that feels like I've known them forever. Meeting them this year has been a blessing in desguise.

Although I am going thru alot right now, at least they keep me grounded at work and motivate me to move on. I love them.

This morning might as well have been SUNNY and LOVELY. Feeling great!! Even bounced to work! LOL My co-worker saw me leaving the ramp at the same time she did and tried to catch up but couldn't casue she said "i be booking it" LOL

The trees are turning vibrant colors, the leaves have fallen, the snow dusting the streets and the chill in the air. I'm loving it. Gives me more reasons to look GREAT!!

We'll see how the days goes.

I do miss my family, especially my nephews and nieces. I've been such a bad auntie. Tomorrow, make it a point to have them all over and just hang out. Yes, I think i'll make some pho.

It doesn't hurt to dream a little dream...

Mattster - It may hurt initnally but you are right, it doesn't hurt to dream a little dream. Maybe instead of reaching for the stars, I should have reached for the moon.

BTW how you doing?

Hi K,

I'm doing well! Thanks for asking.  Autumn always revitalizes me.  It's my favorite season (and no, its not because its also football season  ;D).  I think the beauty of nature really shines in the autumn.  I need to go on one more country drive/road trip before the snow arrives.

The moon is a good choice. :)  I've always had a fascination with the moon.  Many a nights I spent as a kid on the roof with my telescope. Telling it all my secrets and dreams.  It is something of the heavens that man can actually reach..

Here's to your moon and may you reach it someday..

Familiar song for you.  I hope you enjoy oldies as much as I do.

Blue Moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue Moon
You knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for

And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will (ever) hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me
And when I looked to the Moon it turned to gold

Blue Moon
Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me
And when I looked the Moon had turned to gold

Blue moon
Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Blue moon
Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Matt- I too love the fall. As I am a Oct baby, it must be in my blood. I love the leaves, the trees and the colorfullness. The smell of the air, the chill in your lungs.. I love it. This year will prob be the 1st year I have not made the drive up to Duluth to see the leaves change color, maybe I'll take one this weekend with my neices and nephew. They'll love it.

I love oldies and I absolutely love Dean Martin! This song is so sweet. Maybe one day when I land on the moon, i'll be swaying to this song by moonlight and maybe, just maybe your whispered secrets will be there keeping me company.

I wish you a happy birthday! And if it has already passed then a happy belated one.  :)

I've had my eyes on the moon for quite some time also. Perhaps when you get there, you might find more than just my secrets waiting.  ;)

Full Moon

Her whitening light
Makes nights worth while.
Her glow comforts my soul.
And in that light
A teasing secret
No human can unfold.
In treasure chest she gently
Keeps, my every hope and dream.
And every night my secret lies
In softcast silver beam
She’s cast her light upon my life,
And shone away my tears.
Brought joy and love and peace such as
I’ve never known in years.
Tonight I yet discover
Her long-lived life to be
A quest to find a lover,
My soul mate fit to be.

Thank you for the bday wish and the poem is beautiful. Hopefully when I do get to the moon, I won't be alone and more than whispers would be there.

A cute little song,

Karen O: The Moon Song

I'm lying on the moon
My dear, I'll be there soon
It's a quiet starry place
Time's we're swallowed up
In space we're here a million miles away

There's things I wish I knew
There's no thing I keep from you
It's a dark and shiny place
But with you my dear
I'm safe and we're a million miles away

We're lying on the moon
It's a perfect afternoon
Your shadow follows me all day
Making sure i'm okay and
We're a million miles away

Had lunch with two of my fav co-workers, walked a couple of blocks there and the leaves are magnificient this afternoon. Orange, red, purple, shades of autumn.. nice brisk chill in the air! Ahhh.. I love the fall, it's so romantic.

Tonight the nephews and nieces opted for a pizza pig out instead of pho! LOL I sure miss them. They are so grown now. I remember when they would all fit nicely in my two door acura and just drive with no destination. Now barely 3 fit comfortably in my 4 door. R, I am so proud of you, already a sophmore in College and living so far away. I hope you can make it into town tonight. M, I know you had your reservations about starting college, but I hope you are loving it, next semester you'll love living on campus. E, P, C, A, Z, An, & N you guy's are still within aunties reach. Love you all.

Argh, it's only 1:50pm. Might as well get some work done.

Clipped?

Assume you are right,
My wings have been clipped
These perfect wings have soared before
... even without him by my side

You call me a chicken,
Not able to fly?
Someone who didn't try?
I beg to differ, for you know not who I am
nor the COWARD who clipped the wings...

I gave him everything,
Even soared beyond my bounds
My friends said I fell too fast
I should have listened to them
For I gave unselfishly and ended up
with clipped wings..

For now I may be a chicken,
but have no doubt I will learn to fly again
higher than the empire state building..
For these clipped wings although bruised
bandaged and torn,
Will learn to heal and sprout again.
