I've recently just started exploring my poetic side, so forgive me if it's not well. I promise I'm improving.
There’s a lady who lives across the street.
She’s selling love, buy two get one free.
Her motto is if it’s broken don’t fix it;
if you’re unhappy then just replace it.
Love ain’t gotta’ cost a thing,
but every time I’m in there I leave with empty pockets.
Was it that diamond ring, that golden charm, or maybe the locket?
Trading all my humanity for vanity.
There’s no value in love and relationships anymore;
all the things we used to do, all the things that we adore.
