Has anyone ever cheated on you?

I actually wrote this for a friend (sorry, hope you don't mind me sharing it), so this poem or whatever you call it, is quite different from most of the ones I've written.

You once wake up to the smell of fresh roses
Only because she was by your side
You once go to bed with hope and security for a new day
Because you know the one you love will be there waiting
You see autumn in her heart even in the cold winter season
Reflecting her beauty that so captivates you
You feel life overjoyed and complete
With children made from two people in love
You can taste the fruits you’ve planted
That grew out of your loving and giving heart
you hear sweet sounds of melody
that lingers when she speaks
your happiness blossoms into a song
each memory was made for a new note
you thought heaven was gifted to you early
by the love you've given in many ways
united as one you are locked in time
and never thought that this can all be taken away

But this unforeseen life has turned upside down
And has taken you by surprise
To lose the touch, the sounds, the scents of life
You lose your soul, your sight, your eternity
Memories washed away by tears of pain
You drown in tears as she holds you hostage
The more the heartache comes,
The more time refuses to pass
Loneliness becomes a cancer to your soul
Sweet poison you couldn’t resist
Is killing you softly day by day
You can’t even cry anymore like you’re already dead
You search for answers in the wind
But there’s no breeze to embrace the air
You fight and fight with broken wings
Even when there’s no one to fight with
You’re a wounded soldier who fights alone

Turn around child and just let go
You can no longer defeat this battle alone
What you once conquered is gone forever, but
You are still a child of God’s
Open your eyes and seek a way out
You will not find love if you look in your heart
You will not find love in another woman’s arms
You will not find love in the highest mountain,
In the deepest ocean, or the bluest sky
God’s love has been there all along
But you’ve been too blinded and deep in your emotions
You have not been ready to receive the grace of his love
If you find love here, you will search no more
Only his kind of love will conquer your desires
and take away your pain forever
This is God’s promise
