smells funny

why does my car smells funny when I drive it through eight inch of snow?  Is it burning something?  Or leaking?

Normal driving it seems fine.  It's an AWD.

My guess is that there are fluids, grease, dead animals on the underside of your car so when you drive onto snow then it melts and smells.  Maybe it's time to get under there and see if there are any leaks, drips, fluids or ghosts.
