With YouTube, streaming services, and digital downloads, the days of music collecting are almost gone. Only hipsters and audiophiles tend to buy vinyl these days. However, there was a time when a person's CD collection was a reflection of who they were. Even the way you kept your CD collection was a reflection of who you were. CD Towers of all shapes and sizes. 4 sided spinning cases. Pull-out rollers. Or did you just put them against a wall? Then, how you organized your collection was just as important. Did you do it by album title? Artist? Genre? Or a mix of everything? No matter how you did it, your music collection was there for all to see, browse, and marvel. It was there to impress and relate. Why talk about the weather when you can talk about music.
In honor music collecting, here's a tribute. Feel free to add yours.
