lost key and remote

I lost my Scion xb car key. This is the only key I have.  How much will it cost to have it cut in a dealership? and other sources? Does it need to be programmed ?

I know. Not cheap. Can they cut the key without the remote? That would be my preference.

The stealership will cost more. Try craigslist, flea markets, Wal-mart, local locksmith for less money, etc. The person doing the cutting should also be able to "programmed" it for you.

Scion uses chipped keys.  Even the chipped ones are over $100.  As for the FOB those are like 180+ and dealer only.  You could have a blacksmith/keysmith re-program the key but you still may have to pay extra for the labor (lost original, they have to find it in database).
