If 5000 people wrote and document what they saw during an event, that means there were 5000 witnesses. If someone wrote about the 5000 witnessing an event, that means there were no witnesses. It doesn't matter on the number of witnesses that was written in the document. What matters is the number of documents written by the witnesses.
Example:
Having a newspaper article about Stecon Driggs catching the winning TD pass in front of thousands of spectators during the Vikings vs saints game does not prove that there were thousands of spectators at the game. It does not prove that the TD even. It can't even prove that that game actually existed or not.
Conclusion:
There is no proof of the witnesses of the Christian god.
