What made you think of Asians right away?
The history of azn bay area markets are, some not all are known to throw tricks to earn a profit. Like buying cheap meats from a supplier or from anyone that can sell it to them for cheap. Take stripers, a game fish that we have here and is a cousin to the mid west white bass. Illegal to sell local wild caught but you can still see some stores selling them. Like abalone being caught and poached and sold to restaurants who then sells it to customers at a highly ridiculous price for a full course meal. Like I said, we can't verify the bill of laden to where such sources are coming from. Do we care? Well we consumer wants our products fresh n cheap so who is going to call the authority on that.
This case might not be the first time it happened. Had it was not for a harmless Facebook post, we wouldn't know about it.

That location is 90% Chinese n 10% Viet. If we count the Chinese who can also speak Viet, it'll be like 60/40.
San Jose and law breakers are nothing new. Go to a few coffee shop and see customers smokes inside n have the ashes on the ground and them girls would sweep every 10 mins. No Ash tray allow cuz by State law, no smoking allow in building. There is a no smoking sign inside as a front but Viet coffee goes hand in hand with smoking a cigarette.
They raided an illegal gambling house just a few years ago. The whole casino was in a house with slots machine and all and the neighbors were not even aware of the situation until after the fact. Although they did say that people are always at that house and cars parked everywhere even at 3am in the morning.
