I don't think it is still poison when it has expired. That means potency is gone. Poison power is gone.

As I've said *depends*...so some can become less poisonous, some can become more posionous, but poison is always poison.

The king sent two messengers to have Zab smell the king's fart.

The fart was puffed into a bamboo container, sealed at both ends.

They got to Zab after two days of traveling to his village.

"Two days?" he asked. "Probably not potent anymore. Take it back to the king. Let him try it. If it still smells, bring it back and I'll smell it."

He secretly followed them back to the palace.

"Yes, it is still good," the king said to the messengers.

"Ah, huh!" Zab said, clapping and stamping the ground. "I've got the king smelling his own fart!"
