Felt like I just got robbed.......

So the dryers 240 outlet is not working.  I tested it out myself plus the fuse box circuit breaker.

Hired an electrician to come out.  All he did was went to the fuse box and flip a switch.   Charged me $500 just for showing up. 

Once in awhile, I do dumb things which is not a come up.

looks like you trip your circuit breaker
take a look at your switch box
and make sure the laundry switch is not in the OFF position
if it on OFF  position.... switch it back to the ON position

you got the main switch, this will shut off all the power to the house ( top in the pic)
than you got your other individual breaker that goes out to your house, furnace, AC,etc...
these are located  (down on the pic)


if you take a look at this picture
you will know which breaker is for which part of the house
because there's writing next to them (those white paper on the left and right side)

Easy come up for a contractor but not for me.  I know my bad.  Well you can say that I'm not going with the same electrician no more.  That's highway robbery but perhaps he lost money to gambling or j4 is tomorrow so he needs to come up for the family bbq, it is all good to me.  I don't mind help support.

Had it was I, if I do simple work, I'll charge you a pack of beer or just cover my gas. 

It is the principal that counts to me.  I remembered getting a high temperature reading in my first car.  I was far away from home so no help.  Drove to the nearest mechanic shop and a Mexican guy took a look at my radiator.  Water was not leaking and looks like the water is moving fine.  He charges me nothing for the visual inspection.  Now that is honest business I can always go back but the shop is out in the boonies and so it wasy first and last time there.  For safety measures, I drove home in the summer heat with the heater on too. 

Well when you guys hire a contractor, do you get a price breakdown up front or what?  I usually don't until the inspection and estimation goes into effect then I'll say sure or sorry no money.  Should of married myself a nkausee.  Handy chick, that's what a man needs.

i feel ya brother, next time look it up on youtube to see if it can help ya out, i was able to to fix my water heater and not have to hire a electrician for it

$500 ...bro, you got shafted hard
