'Last' McDonald's Cheeseburger In Iceland Enjoys 15 Minutes Of Fame, 10 years After Purchase

Hjortur Smarason wanted fries with that, when he ordered what is considered to be the last McDonald's cheeseburger sold in Iceland, 10 years ago.

Then he saved it, to see if it really was true that McDonald's fare won't decompose, he tells AFP.

After moving around as a curio, the reasonably intact meal from 2009 lives still, within a glass case in a hostel in southern Iceland. Snotra House even has a livestream camera feed on the burger that never fed anyone. Hostel owners encourage visitors to take selfies with the artifact.
