The Hmong Institute delivers egg rolls to health care workers

MADISON (WKOW) -- Some health care workers in Madison got a nice meal today, courtesy of The Hmong Institute.

Members dropped off egg rolls and fried rice at UnityPoint Health-Meriter.

The Hmong Institute says it wanted to thank the men and women who are risking their own health and well-being in the fight against the coronavirus.

Ballard Hmong flower bouquets raise $1k and 700lbs of food for Ballard Food Bank

"Acts of kindness are in bloom, from 8,000 dozen tulips to 300,000 boxes of food a week

At right, social entreprenuer Tara Clark with her friend Xee Yang Schell take in loads of tulips from Hmong flower farmers of the Pike Place Market to sell, despite the market being closed."

McDonald also stepped up big time.  If you have an id card from a medical facility, you get free breakfast, lunch and dinner at mcdees from now till may 5th. 

In other words, your badge is an unlimited amount of mcdees particular meal deal.   

Like 1 per customer but you can just drive to the next mcdees and order again.
