...If I'm to be perfectly honest, I don't mind the shutdown because what I do for a living can be done remotely. I still get paid the big bucks whether I'm working from home or at the office. Working at home is even better because I can actually do everything I need to do in under 30 minutes and then it's pretty much leisure time for the rest of the day. Being at the office means I have to find busy work and converse with co-workers to fill the 8 hours.

My children attend an affluent school district that already uses a lot of virtual learning. When the statewide shutdown happened it was business as usual for them. They clock in for attendance with the Chromebooks that the school issued them at the beginning of the year. The teachers hold class online and students engage in online interactive learning. Again, not much changed for them. For my children who play instruments, the teacher even uses an app where students record themselves to show they practiced.

If it's anybody who would like to see this shutdown go permanent, IT'S ME!!!!

BUT even I know that it would be disastrous not only for the economy but for the folks who don't have it quite so comfy as I do. And it would devastate all small business owners.
