No different than SARS
« on: April 27, 2020, 01:51:02 PM »
COVID 2020: As the coronavirus first seen in China now ravages the U.S., Asian-Americans are wrestling with a second epidemic: hate. Hundreds of attacks on Asian people have been reported, with few signs of decline. Many are filming their interactions or carrying guns.

SARS 2003: The 2003 SARS outbreak fueled anti-Asian racism. Coronavirus doesn’t have to.
History tells us that racism will only escalate further as it is fanned by growing anxiety. Nearly two decades later, we are poised to repeat that history as fears of a new coronavirus — a cousin of the SARS virus — mount throughout the United States.
