No.

I caught 10 of them and I released them all.

I was fishing for largemouths but caught these guys by mistake. Apparently, they have pretty big mouths, too, so they had rushed to the baits before the real largemouths got there. It was hard trying to get the baits to the largemouths. But I did catch a fair number of bass to be happy for the day.

Must be true, cuz only the bigger panfish were still around. Those are the ones the largemouths could not swallow.

Correction is not a form of attack.  IT is help education but for sure, only if you are able to allow me to teach ya.   :2funny:

if your gills has a large mouth, it is not a gill.  It is called a rock bass or warmouth.  Cool fish though.

The real villain is looking at you.  The last hero was just not true.  If everything works out in the end.  It's because all things make amends.

No, I didn't. I didn't have any tape measure with me, so I didn't. I didn't want to take it home to measure it, in case it died. So, I let it go.

But I can go back and catch some more next time and measure them then.

It is huge! That lake has a lot of them.

A fish does not change kind just because of its size. A bluegill will be a bluegill even if you hold it in your palm and not by its lips.

Rock basses have redder eyes. Bluegills have clear, deep blue eyes with a yellow chest down to belly. I did catch a lot of rock basses, too, and they were more huge than the bluegills I caught. Just forgot to get pictures before I was about to leave. Then I was at the section of the lake that had lots of bluegills, pumpkin sees, and lmbs only.

If anyone needs motivation to fish, take them sunfish-fishing. Guaranteed catch every time.

I prefer waxies over worms or any  other type of baits for sunnies.
