elaborate on that. Doesn't make much sense because the poorest part of any cities have remained that way for-like-ever even under democrat leadership
Well, let's take a look at today? Biden will be taking over. Dems now have control of both houses. First thing promised to people is another $1,400 per person to help get everyone through this Covid crisis. Repubs fought tooth and nail to not give anything to people and the Dems had to negotiate their butts off just to get that last $600 through.
Trump has been fighting to repeal Obamacare. People complain about it, but it's definitely beneficial to those who don't have healthcare and Dems (Warren and Bernie) have been fighting for FREE Universal HEALTHCARE. That means, no one will have to pay for healthcare anymore. Like in Canada and other countries that have it. Those of us who have to dish out $6K/year copay would love this idea, but for some reason, Republicans disagree to it.
How about Biden saying he's willing to forgive $10K student loans? Now, if you go further left like Warren and Bernie, they'd say, forgive everything because education should be freely available for all US citizens. Heck, if we got Yang in office, we'd have a UBI, which would help everyone survive and relieve a lot of stress on poor people.
These are things to lift the poor up and help them out. Republicans refuse to do any of this. Instead, Trump runs the deficit up in the Trillions to help out billionaires and rich folks. This will certainly drive up inflation, which would make it even harder on poor people.
Okay, I'll stop ranting now. Getting too long to read.
