Is 5k dollars a lot to you? I'm a small stake guy when it comes to stocks.

I have close to 1k shares of individual stocks. These were gifted. It went up from 11'ish dollars to 16'ish dollars last week. I thought about selling it once it hit 16 dollars but didn't. Now, in theory, I'm down 5k roughly because it's back to 11'ish dollars. And yes, 5K is a lot of money.

In theory, it would have been so cool had I sold it for 16 dollars per share and rebought those shares the following day @ 11 dollars per share. I'm beginning to under stocks a little more.

Buy low
Sell high

that's pretty much it
stock move up and down through the day/week/months
buy when it low during the day
and sell when it goes back up

rinse and repeat the next day

you can swing weekly/monthly
whatever float your boat

A.  Bought at 11 and holding the bag never sold till it rides up to 30 and sell

B.  Bought at 11 and went to 16 and sold.. went down to 11, buys all in and rides up to 30 and sell

Player B makes more money

so if you understand this example, you can ride it till a million.

depend on your styles
you can do daily, weekly, monthly

i would avoid the single stock
they moved too fast for me

my reaction is just too slow

stick to ETF... they move super slow

If you look at the stock that was gift to you
It probably move up and down the whole day
While in downward or upward trend


If you buying
Someone is selling

Vice verse
