I picked up a hitchhiker this morning
« on: February 19, 2021, 03:32:22 PM »
I worked late and didn't go home until 3:30 a.m.

About a half a mile from my office, a lady raised her hand like someone would be raising a hand for a taxi in Bangkok.

I would not have stopped if she was only waiving for a ride. But she actually walked right into the road, blocking my way.

I stopped and realized it was cold, so I let her into my truck.

"I can drop you off if you are going the same way but I'm not going too far--just about five miles out," I said. "Where are you going?"

She was in total silence.

"Please," she said.

"Yes?"

"Please help me. I will give you money tomorrow," she said on.

"I don't want money for this," I said.

I turned on the heater higher.

"We are archangels," she said. "We are here to give people messages."

"Who?"

"Me and my daughter," she said.

Asked where her daughter was, she lightly tapped her stomach three times.

"In your womb?" I asked.

"Yes."

"What messages are you bringing?" I asked.

"Positive messages."

"Sure. But what kind of messages? Like what are you to tell us?"

"Very positive messages."

I realized she wasn't going to get off. So, I said I was going to take her to the nearby hospital.

"They just came from there," she said.

Now, I felt she was a runaway patient.

I suggested the police station next; it was just half a mile beyond the hospital.

She didn't say anything. So, I made a U-turn and went the opposite direction towards the police station.

Some archangel must have told me something, since I sensed that this was a mentally deranged person who may need healthcare services. As we were about to pass the hospital, I said, "Do you prefer the hospital or the police station?"

Silence still.

"Let's go to the Emergency Room. They can help you there," I said.

"They just kicked me out of there," she said.

I didn't believe that somehow.

I drove right to the entrance. "Now, go in there. You can sit around the lobby and they will help you," I said.

She wasn't budging.

My front seat partner was silent all these times. But suddenly, he said, "I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be back."

The main entrance slided to the sides as my partner approached it.

"It's open. Please go in now," I told the lady in the rear right seat.

No word came out of her.

A male nurse came out.

"Hi, Sandy," the nurse called out to the lady. "How are you doing? Please come in."

She wouldn't go in.

The nurse went back inside and soon a police officer in uniform came out.

"What's going on?" he asked as I was lowering the windows on the passenger's side.

"She said she came out of this hospital, so we thought she might be a patient," I said. "Could you take her in?"

"She was here. They said they were going to get a doctor to talk to her and she ran away," the officer said.

"Please go in," I told the lady.

My partner just got back on the truck.

Then the cop opened the back passenger door and the lady grabbed her backpack from the seat and went out.

"Thank you, officer," I said.

He thanked us, too.

"Why did you pick her up? I was afraid she might pull out a gun and hijack our car," my partner said.

"It's cold," I said.

We are not going to do that again.

If it wasn't cold, I would have done 35 mph or even a little higher on the 30 mph road. I was sympathizing with her circumstances.

Anyway, I've seen people go wrong ways on One-way streets many times, just not onto the highway exit ramps.

you know what i do when i see a stranger waving for a ride at night..or even during the day.....i drive 100mph...lols

oh man yo...i just remember, but have you ever drive in back of a car, and for some reason the car enter the wrong way into a free way off ramp...i saw a car did that about two weeks ago...i saw them signaling, but i was thinking they were going to pulled into the little dirt area a few cars were parking to rest or whatever... but instead that car went into the free way off ramp...i think they mistaken it for the on ramp which was only about 10-20 yards away...as I got unto the on ramp, i turned around, almost lost control of my car...lols I just drove unto the freeway and said, ahhh they'll be fine...there's not a whole lotof cars, and its not like they were speeding into the off ramp..worst case, they'll realize, pulled over and make a u-turn back onto the overpass....ha hah

You are the angel who saved her.  Had it were other people like myself, I'll be asking the mental for a blow job.

I heard stories from my religious aunt that the holy can do such a thing to test our mortals.  So when I got home from a night shift, a viet guy was in the road and asked me for a ride.  I remembered how my aunt told me the story and I thought he was a holy person so I picked him up. Took him across town and he said for me to stop and asked if I got any change I can give him.  I did have change, a lot of them, all tip money under my seat cover as I was working as a pizza delivery boy.  I was scared to get rob so I said no money here and get the eff out of my car.

Glad the guy did not hurt me or rather I would hurt him cuz my car is a weapon so assault with a deadly weapon charges for me.  Never more will I try that again.  Hell no to hitch hiker these days.

A black friend picked up a white chick.  She was pestering him if he could you know, have sex or give him a bj in exchange for money.  He said honey, I'm not that kind of kaydoo so he dropped her off right away.  Hooker these days are getting creative.   O0

Sounds like the chick wanted sex but I sent her to the hospital instead. The cop should have been impressed at how I handled that hooker then.

Look what the local sheriff has been putting out that I hadn't known about!

My incident was right in St. Paul.

A black dude and White chick speak Hmong, huh? Interesting.

You've learned from that. Cool.

lols, damns man yo man, good to know I'm not the only one who was once young and dumb...haha yup gave a Hmong brother a lift...Coming home from the Casino late one night, I saw a Hmong dude, who I thought look familiar...I won 3000 some dollars that night so I was in a good ass mood and it unfortunately made me too careless...tha t mood turned sour quickly..once the dude was in my passenger seat...I just knew...big mistake...he wanted us to go back to the casino...I said I can't, but i can dropp you off at your home..he was persistent..le t's go back...I said, okay, I can dropped you off that's it...he said no, we both go inside..I don't know if he has any money on him, or if he was intended to asked me for some money...I thought, well, I don't know if this guy has a weapon on him...he's bigger and taller than I am...So I said I'll just play it safe...we drove back to the casino...now he changes his mind, want's to go to a different casino an hour away...at that point I had to think fast...I said, sure, let's just go inside and withdraw some money first...he said no, let's wait til we get to the other casino...At the point, I was only 25-26, so I wasn't the bad ass I am today, well not as bad ass...My pubic hair wasn't as thick then...lols but I felt something telling me I am gonna have to be aggressive...t hat's when I pulled out my 9 mm....pointed straight to his head, while my other hand slowly making way to my second glock in case he has some trick up his sleeve...haha or he has his own gun...i sternly apologize to him having to do this, but in a calm, authoritive tone, I said get out of my car or your brains is going to splatter all over the car....all the sudden, mofo was no longer drunk...he got out of the car quicker than the speed of light...lols

I laughed, but i was shaken for a whole week...

so yeah, i think the Sky king put me in this situation for a reason....ever since, I never give anyone a lift..no matterhow innocent they look...and even if it's someone I know, if they act strange, I'm leaving...i take it they are hinting at me to not stop but go get help..I'll save that story for another time....hahaha but esp, at the casino...there's always someone asking for a ride home there late nights and I say treat all of them as a set up...lols and sometimes it's a senior citizen...but if it's a old frail grandpa or grandma, that's a red flag for sure...hahah they're working with someone...with bad intentions...

Ok. Story seemed believable. Plus, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt anyway...

sorry Reporter, I lied..I lied man...I politely asked him to get off my car. I think he sense the tone that I didn't want to get aggressive so he let out the F bomb and got out, slam the door shut...if he was nice about getting off, he would have gotten a free 100 dollar bill..lols..ha ha If not for the sky king, it coulda end up worse...I really did have my 9 with me that night though, and im just glad it didn't have to be reached for..haha

never saw mofo again...so might have not even been a real human.lols

I'm nuts about  helping helpless people.

I just picked up a Mev guy from a fishing spot and sent him home, too.

But he turned out friendly and just needed help. I did ask him if he had any weapon before I took him in. He showed me he had no weapons or anything with him.

Later he gave me his number so that we could go fishing together in the future.

Thanks, Qeej. That lady is scary. I'm not going to pick up anyone anymore. Someone tell me that please. One of these days, it's not going to end well if I keep up with this idea of being helpful and nice. I don't want that to happen. And that's not going to happen. The pickups stop here.

Ethically and morally, I understand your point. However, it was not very sensible. Let's try to be smart without being dumb.

You should listen to this podcast, especially episode 11 "Highway Hitchhiker" @ 1:40 mark

True, Qeej. I need to analyze the situations before involving myself if I ever do this again.

She's scary for committing murder but everyone has their own opinion of her. I'm sure you can be helpful and nice in many ways without risking your safety.
