Your thoughts regarding KuCoin and/or loan apps? I'm looking to make money by loaning out my money through some of these apps.

Kucoin is just crypto stuff... I don't like crypto... I just stick to those dirty fiat dollar $$$
they say it cost like $30 per transaction.... so you buy like a $10 pizza+ $30 fee= $40 for a pizza???
not going work in the real world.... unless they can credit card and etc...

loan apps:  it depend man.... if you loan your money out like LENDING TREE... and people start declaring bankruptcy...
you going lose everything...

you can find 3-5% low risk/zero risk
like my CD here

just like LENDING MONEY to your cousin
they might or might not pay you back
might do what TRUMP did... and pull a bankruptcy (dude still a billonaire...e asy way out)

just buy US BONDS, TREASURY,  CORPORATE DEBT, ETC.
.. if your risk tolerance is low/zero
you can find 3-5% safe return
the FED is going back you up if they go bankrupt

With CD's you can't touch your money for the duration of the term. 5 years. Yikes! Good return though. And true with the risk of loaning out money.

depend on some banks
some has early withdrawn penalty, some don't

just double check...

you don't need to go CD
you can buy COROPATE bonds 5% safe low risk return

And true with the risk of loaning out money.

that's why you hear me go around preaching

"IT'S JUST A GAME MAN"

$1,000,000 at my 3%  CD rate= $30,000 per year
thats pretty good... enough to pay the eletric bill and food and go some some nice vacation
for zero risk

When buying corporate bonds, double check the bond rating as some of them can't pay.  Also you don't always have to pay face value.  There's discounted corporate bonds so if you buy on discount, the actual % on return is calculated off of what you pay.  In some fashion you're getting back more than the 5% based on your invested amount.  It's the same with fannie mae and ginnie mae bonds.

Big investors who want very low risks often buy large commercial paper bonds just before maturity and they reap in that interest.  It could've been a 10 yr bond, but the big investor there buys it like the last month or two right before it matures.  So in that fashion they aren't sitting on it for like 10 yrs.  Then again who's got 250 mil just laying around and buying like 5-25 mil at a time.

One-tai

Tell us a little bit about yourself
You like low risk/ moderate/ high?
Plus how many years are you away from retirement?

If you are low risk
Just stick to bonds/ treasury/ cd/ money market etc....
Can find safe low risk 3-5%

$1,000,000 at 5%= $50,000 interest every year
