Shamanism, new and old

 One thing I can say about it is it's unique to our culture..  I've watched hmong folks in Vietnam & China vie youtube and their practice of shamanism is similar to what we see in Thailand, Laos, and USA and likely similar across the board for Hmong living in other parts of the world.

Do you believe in Shamanism?  If yes, why?   If no, why not?

some aspect of it is still really good

like worshiping your ancestor
my dad still leave some rice+meat outside and call his ancestor spirits to come feast

Christians don't believe in such that's why but they live on in our heart.

It's a NO for me. I've gone through terrible phases of mental illness where I came from like Shamanism.
I had to use all my strength to break off the chain that my family believe in such notion that my ancestors are still alive when they're actually dead. There's no proof they can be reborn or reincarnate to next life.

I must say the creation of various kinds of shamanism this day and age has been quite interesting.

The interesting and entertaining part in Shamanism is when the Shaman do the front flip in mid-air as it's a part of circus act. Ka-pluck! the body became dead on the ground so his buddies have to carry him back yard and bury him. It seems the Shaman died first before the sick person sitting on the wooden bench.  smh

I heard from someone that there's a darker version of Shamanism when they perform witchcraft to spiritual dimension to see their loved ones.

As Christians, we each have our own unique story of salvation, testimonials.  It is a journey of God's grace and mercy indeed. 

One thing about technology, youtube, people get to learn about each other.  In the past, we don't see shamans openly talk about their craft.

My opinion of Shamanism, it's not from God nor approve by God.
