When I was much younger--pre-teen--I had one of a Hmong Lee boy. He was a bit chubby and I wasn't, but no one outside our families could really tell us apart. We were close friends from two different villages. So, the villagers would mistaken us for each other. I've been addressed as "Ab Huas" and he has been addressed as ..um.."R." Only our mothers and we were able to tell us apart.
I wonder where he is now. I'm sure he has made it across the Mekong and to the camps and also the US.
